Current Research

My current research interest focuses on the early life history of the Carolina chickadee (Poecile carolinensis).  During last two years I have begun a study focused on determining how sibling competition, clutch size, habitat quality, and general parental provisioning influences the early life of this species.  Little is currently known about how these factors might influence the growth and development, the time to fledging, natal dispersal behavior, or future reproductive success.  My goal is to gradually unravel some of these questions.  Check back often for updates on our progress.
