About Victoria Ryburn
Victoria Ryburn was born on October 26, 1983 in Emporia, KS. She is the daughter of Debbie Meggs and Nicholas Cruz and the stepdaughter of Gary Meggs and Alicia Cruz. Tori first felt a real spark for Math during her freshman year of high school when she was taking Algebra II under Mrs. Deese. From then on, all math classes were a joy for her and she knew that once she entered college there was nothing she would rather learn about more than math. She graduated in May 2002 with honors from Henderson High School in Henderson, Texas. Tori attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello for four years (2002-2006). While there she was member of the UAM Band, UAM Ambassadors, Alpha Sigma Tau, Alpha Chi, and Sigma Zeta. She also worked on campus as a student tutor in the tutoring lab in Harris Hall. Tori thoroughly enjoyed her time at UAM and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a GPA of 3.96. She then continued to graduate school at the University of Arkansas with a graduate assistantship. She taught classes there as a graduate assistant while she took classes towards her master’s degree. Finally she graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Master of Science in Mathematics in May 2008 and accepted an Instructors position at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
