Research Program for Minority Students

The Research Program for Minority Students at the University of Arkansas Monticello developed from a National Science Foundation grant that funded the Arkansas Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (ARK-LSAMP).  The goal of ARK-LSAMP is to increase the number of  under-represented minority students who graduate in STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and ultimately enter research careers.  The UAM-RPMS expands upon the original concept of ARK-LSAMP by including students interested in biomedical sciences, such as Medical School.
