College and Career Readiness The Southeast College and Career Readiness project is a partnership between the University of Monticello at Arkansas, the Southeast Education Renewal Zone, and fourteen partner public schools in Southeast Arkansas. With the goal of ensuring common expectations of high school graduates and creating a dialogue between high school and college instructors, the SE ERZ has sponsored many meetings between students, public school educators, and professors of entry-level college courses. |

College Recruitment and Retention From visiting students in public schools and hosting ERZ college experience days at UAM to participating in career fairs, the SE ERZ is working toward the goal of eliminating student fears of attending college. With a message of college and career readiness, the ease of applying for college, the variety of scholarship opportunities available, and the benefits of graduating with a college degree, the SE ERZ is showing a marked impact on partner schools' postsecondary enrollment. Located in Willard Hall, the SE ERZ is available to any School of Education student, graduate or bachelor, and provides support to all students enrolled in UAM. Contact the SE ERZ to schedule a College Experience Day for your students. |
