UAM School of Education Master of Arts of Teaching (M.A.T.)

The M.A. T. program is a twelve month partially online Master of Arts in Teaching Program for those who wish to obtain a teaching license to teach a content subject at the 7-12 level, or PE, Art, and Music at the P-12 level and receive a Master's degree.  This is a program for professionals who have the desire to teach but do not have a degree in education.

Arkansas Department of Education Non-Traditional Licensure Program

The Non-Traditional Licensure Program (NTLP) is an alternative route to teacher licensure administered by the Arkansas Department of Education. Enrollment in this program allows a candidate with a bachelor’s degree or higher to be employed as a classroom teacher while completing the necessary requirements for an Initial Arkansas Teaching License.
