On his retirement as Professor and the first Chair of the Division of Computer Information Systems, Dr. James Roiger established the James Roiger Endowed Scholarship for CIS Majors in July, with matching funds from the UAM foundation.
In honor to his parents, Dr. James Roiger established the Raymond O. and Loretta J. Roiger Endowed Small Scholarship Fund for Chi Iota Sigma, the CIS student organization, in December, with matching funds from the UAM Foundation.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hornaday established the Dan and Charlotte Hornaday Endowed Scholarship for CIS majors in December, with matching funds from Exxon.
Mr. and Mrs. William R. Austin established the William R. and Katie B. Austin Endowed Scholarship for CIS majors in February.
In honor to his favorite uncle and aunt, on whose farm he spend many wonderful summers as a child, Dr. James Roiger established the Edward and Veronica Groebner Endowed Fund for Computer Information Systems Operations Support in April.
