FLORENCE, Ala. – Sophomore Erika Brown nailed a three-point attempt as time expired to give the University of Arkansas at Monticello a 64-61 win over North Alabama in UNA’s Marriot Shoals Classic Tuesday night.

Senior Andrea Dubose (Hickory, Miss.) created the game’s sixth tie with a trey with 31 seconds remaining, followed by a crucial steal by junior Nicole Lowe (Jackson, Miss.) with 20 seconds left, setting up Brown (Shreveport, La.) for the game-winning three-pointer.

Dubose led all scorers with 17 points after shooting 6-of-14 from the field and 2-of-7 from three-point land. The second-year senior added three free-throws to give her the final point total. The total marked the ninth game of the season for Dubose to reach at least 10 points.

Junior Monica Perkins-Miller (Houston, Texas) recorded her fourth double-digit scoring performance of the season in as many games, while adding her third double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Also reaching double-digits was Brown, who scored 10 points, while also grabbing six rebounds.

North Alabama was led by Amber Rutherford with 15 points, followed by Brianna Abrams and Jameica York with 12 points a piece.

The Blossoms improve to 8-3, while the Lady Lions drop to an even 7-7.

UAM steps out of regular season play for a pair of exhibition games against NCAA Division I opponents with a January 2 contest at Northwestern State (La.), followed by a game at Louisiana-Monroe on the following day.
