“We did what he had
to do tonight to
win,” said head
coach Chris Ratcliff
in his post-game
radio interview. “It
was a very sloppy
game both ways. We
knew they were going
to press us like
crazy. Luckily the
refs called the game
very tight, which
helped us out a
lot.”
There were a total
of 58 fouls called
in the contest, 36
called against the
Lady Reddies and 22
called against the
Blossoms. Also a
notable number was
the turnover battle.

The Blossoms fell
behind 2-0 on HSU’s
first possession by
a quick jump-shot
from HSU senior

From that point, UAM
stretched its lead
to as much as 20
points late in the
first half and 25
points with less
than a minute left
in the second half.
