BLOSSOMS EARN NINE VOTES IN THIS WEEK'S WBCA TOP 25 POLL

MONTICELLO – The University of Arkansas at Monticello women’s basketball team has earned nine votes in this week’s USA Today ESPN/WBCA Division II Top 25 poll, released Tuesday.
 
UAM (14-4, 6-1 GSC) ended the first half of conference play in sole possession of second place in the GSC-West Division after knocking off No. 20 Arkansas Tech at home this past Thursday by a final score of 81-64. UAM trails only Delta State in the division, which stands 7-0.

Following the historic upset over Arkansas Tech, the team used a dominating second half to record a comfortable 87-66 win over Southern Arkansas on the road.

Delta State at No. 25 is the only representative of the Gulf South Conference in this week’s poll. Arkansas Tech received 35 votes and Valdosta State received four votes.
