MONTICELLO  – Junior guard Nicole Lowe has been named the Gulf South Conference West Division Player of the Week for her impressive performance in the 93-48 win over Chaminade this past Wednesday.

Lowe (Jackson, Miss.) scored a game-high 19-points and recorded nine steals in the win, just one steal away from tying UAM’s single-game record. She also turned in five rebounds and five assists.

Through two games this season, Lowe is leading the Blossoms in scoring with an average of 17 points per outing. She also leads the team from the charity stripe with an 81.3 free-throw shooting percentage.

Lowe joins the GSC East award winner, West Georgia’s Dominic Cranford, as this week’s players of the week.
