MONTICELLO –
The University of Arkansas
at Monticello women’s
basketball received 11 votes
in this week’s addition of
the USA Today ESPN/WBCA
Division II Top 25 Poll.
The Blossoms made their
first push towards the Top
25 last week, when the team
received nine votes after
knocking of then ranked No.
20 Arkansas Tech, followed
by a road win over Southern
Arkansas. This past week,
UAM defeated Christian
Brothers 81-72 on the road
to improve the team’s GSC
record to 7-1. The Blossoms
are now on a six-game
winning streak and have won
nine of their last 10
contests.
UAM faces off against Delta
State this Thursday for the
chance to take sole
possession of first place in
the division. Both teams
have 7-1 league records.
Arkansas Tech is the GSC’s
top representative with 26
votes, followed by Delta
State with 15. West Georgia
rounds out the league
schools with eight votes.
