INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –
The
University of Arkansas at Monticello
men’s basketball team dropped to No. 6
in this week’s release of the NCAA South
Region Rankings.
The Weevils (16-7 Overall, 11-7 D2, 10-7
In-Region) lost two GSC contest over the
past week, first to Delta State at home,
followed by a road loss to Ouachita
Baptist, resulting in the slight drop
from No. 5 over the past three weeks.
Claflin (19-2 D2, 19-2 In-Region) held
on to the top spot, followed in order by
Florida Southern (20-4 D2, 17-3
In-Region), Benedict (20-3 D2, 20-3
In-Region), Christian Brothers (15-3 D2,
15-3 In-Region) and Delta State (14-5
D2, 14-4 In-Region).
At the end of the season, the top eight
teams of each region advance to the NCAA
regional tournament, usually hosted by
each region’s No. 1 or No. 2 seed.
