Behind the fourth place individual
finish of Devin DeBay, the University of
Arkansas at Monticello men’s golf team
placed fifth at the Southern Arkansas
Mulerider Invitational.
After the first round, DeBay was tied
for second after shooting a 74, but
after shooting a 77 in the second, he
dropped one stroke behind the third
place finisher, Cole Fisher of Ouachita
Baptist.
SAU’s Peyton Mitchell won the individual
crown after shooting 72 in the first
round and 71 in the second round, both
match lows.
As a team, UAM shot 324 in the first
round and 327 in the second round,
giving them a match total of 651.
Henderson State won the team crown after
turning in combined scores of 303 and
302, respectively, giving the team a
two-stroke victory at 605. OBU shot 607
for second place, Harding shot 626 for
third place and Southern Arkansas shot
630 for fourth place.
