Cradle of Coaches

UAM has produced its share of collegiate football coaches. Among the former Boll Weevils who have gone on to success in the coaching ranks are Larry Lacewell, current director of college and pro scouting for the Dallas Cowboys, Arkansas Tech head coach Steve Mullins, Arkansas Tech and former Ole Miss defensive coordinator Art Kaufman, Henderson State assistant Benjie Pierce, and Red Parker, former coach at The Citadel, Clemson, Ole Miss, Delta State, Southern Arkansas, and Ouachita.
