MONTICELLO – University of Arkansas at Monticello football coach Gwaine Mathews has announced the Monticello Country Club will host UAM’s weekly coach’s luncheon for the second straight season beginning Tuesday, August 25.
 
The kickoff luncheon will feature a pre-season progress report from Mathews and his staff as well as a preview of the season opener against Tarleton State.
 
“I don’t know if it was because of the winning or the great food, but we had great attendance last year at the Monticello Country Club,” said Mathews. “We are excited to be having the luncheon at the country club again this year… There is a very comfortable and supportive atmosphere there, which is great for all of our boosters and fans.”
 
All luncheons are open to the public and will begin at noon each Tuesday throughout the season with the exception of the week of September 8, when the event will be held Wednesday, September 9 at noon due to Labor Day scheduling conflicts.
 
The last scheduled luncheon is November 3 unless the Boll Weevils qualify for the NCAA playoffs.
