OUTLOOK: Yelitza Rivera has had to fight the injury bug during her
three seasons at UAM. She redshirted in 2006-07 due to injury, followed
by only 14 games last season because of another injury, Coach Ratcliff
believes she is fully recovered and ready for a great season.
2007-08: Saw limited action due to a second knee
injury... Played in 14 games, averaging 6.4 minutes per outing...
Finished the season 7-of-20 from the field and 9-of-14 from the foul
line for a total of 23 points... Also racked up nine rebounds...
Season-high of six points in the team’s win over Southern Arkansas
(2/2/08).

Angel Lopez Panelli... From her sophomore to senior years, team posted a
combined record of 102-15... Team won district and regional titles as a
sophomore, junior and senior, while capturing state title as a
sophomore... earned all-state honors... Averaged 20.1 points and five
assists per game, while shooting 90 percent from the free-throw line...
Holds a school record with 40 points in a single-game... Also lettered
three years in volleyball and two in tennis... A member of the Puerto
Rico Junior National Team... Recipient of the 2006 Roberto Clemente
Award, given annually to the top high school senior athlete in Puerto
Rico, recognizing not ony athletic achievement but also academics and
community service...Graduated with honors.
