Alvy Early, coach of the SIX-TIME Gulf South Conference West Division Softball Champion Cotton Blossoms, will conduct a fast-pitch camp for girls ages 6-18 at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.  The camp will offer extensive instruction in the fundamentals of softball from Coaches Alvy Early (UAM), Kent Early (Bentonville), Nikki Bethurum (UAM Pitching Coach), Mike Rainwater (UAM Infield Coach), Chris Robinson (UAM Outfield Coach), Chad Hutson (Woodlawn) and several members of the Cotton Blossoms squad, including UAM shortstop and GSC-West Player of the Year Lindsey Randall, NCAA All-Region outfielder Becca Tipton, along with GSC-West Freshman and Pitcher of the Year, Kayla Jackson.

Each camper will receive individual instruction in all phases of the game.

The position and fundamental session will familiarize the campers with the basic fundamentals needed to play all on-field positions. The hitting session will provide every camper with extensive instruction in the mechanics and techniques of hitting. The pitching/catching session will give catchers a working knowledge of their position through drills and personal instruction, while the pitchers will work on the absolutes of pitching fundamentals as well as actual pitching techniques, helping to make the camper a more well-rounded performer on the field.
