Gregory Borse

Gregory Borse

(Ph.D. Louisiana State University)  Assistant Professor of English.

Dr. Borse teaches World Literature, Introduction to Literary Studies, Literary Theory, Modern Poetry, and Philosophy.  A generalist, Dr. Borse’s interests range from the literature of Western Antiquity, Medieval Literature, Shakespeare, and the novels and short-stories of William Faulkner.  Theoretically, he is interested in what Walter Ong has called the rise of the “new Orality” as a result of new technologies and their consciousness changing implications for culture and education.  His background includes study in Rome, Italy, writing for educational television through the CPB/Annenberg Project and PBS, appearing in an Aerosmith video, and being interviewed by Barbara Walters for the very first national television news special chronicling the lives of what has come to be known “Generation X.”
