UAM Admissions Ambassadors

What is an Ambassador?

The UAM student Ambassador Organization is an elite group of students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills, communication skills, high personal confidence, have strong organization skills and assume and delegate responsibility.  The program was started in 1979 and it was the first Ambassador organization in Arkansas.  Years later many schools followed.

Why are they so special?

Each Ambassador brings his own unique talents and personality to the group to make it truly diverse.  As a matter of fact, the only thing that Ambassadors have in common is a commitment to excellence and leadership potential.

How do I become an Ambassador?

Ambassadors are nominated by faculty members, professional staff, or current Ambassador members yearly.  A screening process follows the application.

The Ambassador program consists of approximately thirty campus students, and is coordinated through the office of admissions.
