Continuing education (clock-hour) courses are offered by UAM-CTC on campus and at various locations throughout Ashley, Bradley, and Drew Counties. These courses are offered based on sufficient demand. Courses are also designed and taught for business and industry to assist employers with the training of their employees.
Individuals interested in taking a particular course should contact the school to indicate their interest and to seek information. Some courses have prerequisites, but there are no additional entrance requirements for non-credit continuing education (clock-hour) courses except that an individual should be 17 years of age or older or have graduated from high school. Courses leading to licensure require that an individual be 18 years of age or older in order to take credentialing examinations.
The cost of continuing education courses will vary according to the course curriculum, books, and supplies needed.
Some employers may qualify for State Workforce Training grants.
