The ASSET is an assessment-advising program designed to
identify the basic skill level of students as they enter
institutions of higher education. The ASSET test is used as a
substitution for the ACT.
Cost:
A fee of $20.00
must be paid to the UAM Cashier’s Office prior to testing.
Availability:
The ASSET is administered on the UAM campus
for students who: are enrolled, have been admitted, are in the
process of applying to UAM and did not take the ACT, will not
have an opportunity to take a national ACT test prior to
enrollment.
How to Register:
You will need to complete all necessary
documents for admission to UAM through the Office of Admissions
prior to the exam. Pick up a registration form in the
Counseling, Testing, & Career Services Office and turn in prior
to test date.
Time Required:
Approximately two hours of actual testing time
are required.
Important:
Must have SIGNATURE
PHOTO ID, and receipt
from the UAM Cashier’s Office are required on test date. ASSET
scores are for internal use at UAM and cannot be transferred to
another institution. Study guides are available.
