The American College Test is a national college entrance exam
required for placement at UAM.
Many colleges throughout the United States require the ACT
for admission. Check specific regulations for the college of
your choice.

Availability:
Five national test dates are given and periodically additional
local tests are given at some colleges. Contact the college you
plan to attend for more information on residual testing. Check
the ACT Registration Bulletin for all information on national
test dates and registration deadlines.
How to Register:
Registration Bulletins for national test dates are available at
the UAM Counseling & Testing Services Office located in Harris
Hall room 201. Registration may be done online.
Time Required:
Approximately four hours of actual testing time are required.
However, additional time is required to complete the necessary
identification and check-in. Plan to arrive promptly at the time
designated on the schedule.
Important Note:
On test date, a photo ID is required, or a letter from your high
school counselor containing your physical description. The
identification letter must be on your high school’s letterhead.

Use of a calculator is permitted but not required. See
Bulletin for acceptable styles. |
