Psychology Students: Success Stories

About the Department

The study of psychology to students of varying interests who all have one common objective: the desire to understand why people think, feel, and act as they do. Some students plan a career in psychology in teaching, research, or practice. Some plan a career in a psychology-related field such as social service. The Human Services minor is recommended highly for both these groups of students. Others find knowledge of psychology useful for the careers they plan in areas such as law, medicine, business, or industry. These students may select a minor area which is most beneficial to their career goals.

Psychology is the always fascinating, sometimes surprising, study of human behavior. You may study early psychology and the lifespan of human development or physiological psychology, including the workings of the human brain and how people learn.  A degree in psychology will open career opportunities in social services or health-related fields or in law enforcement, private industry, and government.
