 Fredrick and Donna Jackson
Pine Bluff, Arkansas

At 6th Street and University Drive in Pine Bluff is the koolest new place for kids. The UAM Arkansas Small Business and Development Center assisted Fredrick and Donna Jackson with this business devoted not just to daycare, but to developing students with leadership and life skills for the twenty-first century—a strong educational foundation accompanied with character development. Their motto--"Reaching for the Stars".

Fredrick Jackson's comment: "I contacted small business and talked to Kathryn Peacock. She was so helpful in assisting me with my plans. She would meet with me whenever I would travel from Dallas, Texas. She even went with me to the Pine Bluff City zoning meeting.

This was a project in partnership with Pine Bluff National Bank. Thanks to the Jacksons for allowing us to use their story. All ASBTDC services were provided at no charge.
