STORY FLOW

  • Editor-in-Chief makes initial assignments to section editors who will then assign stories to reporters.  The editor-in-chief should prepare a final story-assignment list and e-mail it to the entire staff and post it to WebCT and in the Student Publications Office each week.
  • Reporters should post all articles and beats in WebCT under the correct folder. Reporters must consult with the editorial staff about corrections and changes made to an article.
  • The copy editor will either return the story to a reporter for further improvements or forward the story to the appropriate section editor.
  • After the section editors review the corrected articles, they should turn the final edits to htm and post to Filezilla.
  • The editor-in-chief will make final edits to the article before announcing The Voice to the campus. The adviser will print the articles and return for the next editor's meeting, including comments and suggestions.
  • Missed deadlines will result in a dropped letter grade.
