Amber Rowe Staff Writer Whether a cold front will hit this year in Southern Arkansas or not, these top seven fashions will keep you in style no matter what the weather brings. In women’s fashion, the layered look hits No. 1 on the list. Pairing a short sleeve top with a long sleeve and topping it off with a striped scarf creating a relaxed look, or for a more casual outing wear a ruby down parka over some grey leggings with fur trimmed boots. Think "the bigger the better" because volume is in all the clothes this winter. Hitting the runway, as far as jacket styles, include military coats of any kind or color especially brown or rust, jackets that flare at the bottom as well as in the sleeves, coats with fur trim, boyish style coats (the feminine look is slowly starting to shift to the boyish look among fashion trendsetters) and finally coats with a checked or plaid patterns copying the urban/country look. Hitting No. 4 on the top 10 list, anything rust-tone colored. You will see ruby red, orange, khaki olive, brown, grey, charcoal, purple and military green. Ladies, if you are a jewelry or accessory addict of any kind, gold tone will be everywhere this winter. In handbags, cuffs, shoes, scarves and gloves, they can be worn with the simplest outfit since gold can stand by itself. For men's fashion this winter you will see a lot of hoodies paired with extremely dark jeans - almost black - light jeans are out at the moment for guy’s trend wise. Khaki, as seen on the Perry Ellis runway, is worn by the casual dressed men. Khaki shirt plus khaki pants plus khaki shoes,
which seems like too much khaki, marks No. 1 in men's fashion at the
moment. Have a comment? Please e-mail us. ŠThe Voice 2007 Revised 09/17/2007 07:50:05 PM — http://www.uamont.edu/Organizations/TheVoice/5_8/fashion.htm |
