Blossoms Swept by Henderson

Paul Smith
Sports Information Director

Arkadelphia - Despite a 12-kill effort by junior MacKenzie Willis (Andrews, Texas), the University of Arkansas - Monticello Cotton Blossoms (9-15, 1-6 ) were unable to overcome the solid hitting of Henderson State’s Rose Euppah and Edith Musebe as the Lady Reddies picked up a 3-0 victory over UAM Tuesday night at the Duke Wells Center.

The Blossoms were able to keep the match close, but dropped their games by the scores of 30-28, 30-26 and 30-27.

Willis’ 12 kills led UAM, while first-year student Vikki Crisco (Saginaw, Texas) dished out 35 assists. Junior Maegan Martin (Burnet, Texas) had 18 digs, while sophomore Nicole Ferguson (Brentwood, Tenn.) had 10.

The Cotton Blossoms returned to action Thursday, Oct. 18 as they hosted Ouachita Baptist at Steelman Fieldhouse.
