Oct. 1

   Out to boost student's truck at the Science Center.

   Had several automated calls from Horsfall about fire alarm and one call from maintenance to tell me that they were replacing a part on the fire system and that I should 10-22 on the fire calls. Also had a call from maintenance to tell me that they were going to work on the bookstore next and that I should get a call from that system also.

   Call from Public Safety Office to open up room in Jeter for sorority.  Out at Jeter and questioned the students, and they told me that they have moved from Horsfall and have not gotten the correct key to this room yet.  Opened the door for them.

   Traffic stop with UAM student for loud music on University/Horsfall.  Issued a verbal warning for the same.

   Out at the cafeteria to get a statement from a case from last week.

   Made contact with several male students loitering around Royer Hall.  They were waiting on some residents of the dorm to come out.  A frat was pledging.  Advised them to stay away from the dorm.

Oct. 2

   Out at the Fine Arts Center housing to check on situation about a grill on a trailer.  Out at field house for same reason.  Coach told me he would get it moved.

   Out at Babin Business Center to take a report.  Out at Physical Plant for a vehicle unlock.

   Call from PSO about someone fishing in Weevil Pond.  Out with two subjects and handed out some information to them, and while I was talking with them I had another subject come up with fishing pole and bait.  I spoke with her also.

   Out at the cafeteria to pick up a statement.  Make two traffic stops.

Oct. 3

   Assist another officer with traffic stops.  Run radar in different locations around the campus.

   Go assist Monticello Police Department with an accident on 83S involving a faculty member.

   Out checking student identification cards.  Several students do not have theirs.  Monitor group going back and forth to stadium.

  Flagged down by stranded motorist by Drew Central.  Motorist asked about gas can and if we would have one.  Advised motorist about not having one.

   Traffic stop on Scoggins next to the football stadium.  Issued warning.

Oct. 4

   Received call from student workers at the University Center gym worried about people outside.  Talk with subjects outside; no problems.

   Out checking IDs of students around campus.  Sent several to get IDs.  Issued citations.  Unlock vehicle at Agriculture building.

   Out with subjects around Bankston Hall.  Advised them to quiet down.

   Conducted a walk through of Maxwell Hall with no problems.  Issued citation to subject for parking in a handicap spot.  The driver had a "Special Parking Permit;" however, it expired Sept. 27.

Oct. 5

   Campus patrol issuing parking citations.  In the office for a few for fingerprinting.  Out at Agriculture parking lot for an unlock. 

   Received call from the office about a female student who had been approached by a non-student acting strangely.  Made contact with the student, who informed me of the non-student's actions.  Searched through the library with negative results.  Asked the student to call Public Safety if she sees the individual again.

   Received a call from the manager of the cafeteria about a student refusing to pay for a meal.  Spoke to both parties and found to be a mutual misunderstanding.  Resolved with no further conflict.

Oct. 6

   Observed a small deer was at the front of the Administration building.  He had repeatedly rammed his head-snout into four of the windows.  The windows were covered in blood and his body was in the same state.  The brick ledge where he was sitting had a pool of blood on it.  As I approached the deer, he bolted around the pond and in front of the Field House.

   Went to monitor the evening meal at the cafeteria.  Noted that 10 students sitting together at two tables were loud and using excessive and offensive profane language.  I instructed them to stop this conduct at once and to respect the ladies and other students in the cafeteria by refraining from this behavior.

   Out to check on cookout/party at Jeter Hall.  Everything was 10-4.

   Out at Royer to remind some students about quiet hours and asked them to leave area or go inside.  They all complied.

   Call from resident assistant at Royer Hall about a female that may have a medical emergency and needed me to come to the dorm.  Went to the dorm and female would not allow me to talk with her, but the RA was fearful for the young lady's health and asked me to get an ambulance for her.  I called the ambulance and it arrived around 0120 a.m.  Finally, I talked the student into going to the hospital.  After a few minutes of talking with the RA, I went to Drew Memorial Hospital to check on the student.

Oct. 7

   Stopped by a guy who stated there was a female student at the 10-81 who needed to make a report.

   10-81- A female student and her family wanted to make a report.  A non-student came to the office while I was taking the report and stated he and a friend who resides in Bankston Hall where standing outside in the west courtyard when a guy came up and punched him in the mouth.  His lip was bleeding.  Sent an officer over to Bankston with him to try and recover his wallet, glasses and cell phone that were missing.  The non-student and his friend came back to the Public Safety office and made a statement.  He said he did not recover his cell phone.  Another officer and I reviewed the video at Bankston.  IDs are pending.

   Received a call from another officer who needed me to assist at the office.  Arrived and helped with statements and helped deal with situation in office.  while in office, had a male subject come in with battery complaint that happened at Bankston at or about 1600 p.m.  Took statement from subject and witness.  Out at Bankston to review video.

   Back to Bankston Hall to have help to ID some students in video.

Oct. 8

   Received call from RA at Maxwell.  Go to check on the crowd in the breezeway and advised them to go inside for the night.

   Got a call from subject at Family Housing wanting to know if they could have numerous vehicles parked there after the RA told them they couldn't.  Told them to do what the RA said to do.

   Received a call from a custodial worker at the BBC worried about the skunks.  Advised her that they wouldn't bother her and that I couldn't do anything about the smell.
