Celebrates Freedom of Speech By Michael Ford The University of Arkansas at Monticello will commemorate the third-annual National Freedom of Speech Week Oct. 15-21. The week celebrates the triumph of the four freedoms expressed by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt during World War II: Freedom of Speech and Expression, Freedom of Religion, Freedom From Want and Freedom From Fear. Bands Canceled The Debate Club and Pi Kappa Delta canceled the 6th annual Battle of the Bands, previously scheduled Oct. 18. “In order to maintain the quality that we’ve had in the past, we’ve decided to wait until spring,” said Scott Kuttenkuller, Debate Team adviser.
