Arts & Entertainment Editor “Pasta Strike” Angry Italians hold “pasta strike” over
an incoming price increase. The boycott arises after news of rising cost
of wheat. A Mosquito? Jose Maria Manzanares, a bull fighter
from Madrid, Spain, survived 57 bull fights, but fell ill with Dengue
fever. Apparently, it takes a mosquito to do a bull’s job. Stupidity at its Finest Time for a story-telling moment:
Woman drives
stolen car to courthouse to pay a traffic ticket. Police arrest woman
and the woman ends up with jail time. The moral of the story - crime
doesn’t pay and never drive a stolen car to a courthouse. Who did it? Forest Kelly Bissonnette, a bank robber,
wrote a hold-up note on a personal check. What a way to say “arrest me!” Say "Cheese" Sony develops camera with face detection
technology to capture smiles from a slight grin to belly laugh. This week’s read: “Death Be Not Proud, A Memoir” by John
Gunther. Gunther wrote about his son, who lives life to the fullest
despite having a deadly brain tumor. Gunther writes about discovery,
life, fighting ambition and ultimately death.
