History of Campus Landmark Subject of Online Exhibit

Ever wonder how long Weevil Pond has been around, who constructed it or how it’s been used?

The Fred J. Taylor Library and Technology Center staff have provided the answers to those and other questions about one of the University of Arkansas at Monticello's most enduring landmarks.

The exhibit may be viewed by going online at the library’s Web site. Click on "Library Services" and then "Weevil Pond" to access the exhibit which includes both information and vintage photos from the early part of the 20th century.

The special collections department, on the second floor of the library, has more information about UAM’s history. For more information contact the Taylor Library and Technology Center at 460-1080.

New Truck in Motor Pool

The UAM motor pool purchased a 14-foot panel truck. The truck will be used to move band and football equipment among other things. It will also serve as a moving billboard for UAM. The truck will be on campus within the month.
