Financial Whiz to Offer Seminar at Clinton Library

The Arkansas Educational Television Network Foundation presents nationally known tax attorney and fee-only financial planner Bert Whitehead in an afternoon seminar Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at the William J. Clinton Presidential Center.

With more than 35 years of experience, Whitehead shares his perspective as a pioneer in fee-only financial planning- investment counseling in which the adviser receives payment directly from the client, rather than a commission for the sale of products such as annuities or stocks. The result is objective, client-specific advice that may be at odds with some commonly held approaches to building wealth.

Whitehead offers “dos” and “don’ts,” including more than 40 informational gems to assist in efficiently managing mortgages, savings and charitable contributions. He details the 10 stages of a financial lifestyle that permit anyone to determine if his or her money train is on track and offers examples of a balanced portfolio that can sustain the ups and downs of the market.

The seminar will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 12, and the AETN Foundation is the only outlet for these tickets, which are $40 each. Seating is limited, and tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis. For more information or to reserve tickets, visit the AETN Web site or call 800-662-2386.

All proceeds will help support public television programming in Arkansas. Following the seminar, Whitehead will be on hand to visit with attendees and sign books.

The Arkansas Educational Television Network, http://www.aetn.org, provides lifelong learning opportunities, improves and enhances Arkansans’ lives and celebrates the unique culture of Arkansas through its programming and serv
ices. AETN’s analog and digital transmitters and numerous cable system connections give it statewide reach.
