Nov. 21

   Out to block University Drive and Drew Central so tree service can cut pine tree.

   A call from a student who saw someone in a truck that was possibly watching them around the University Apartments.  Unable to make contact with a suspect vehicle.

Nov. 22

   Some subjects walking around pond.  Very little other traffic around campus during this time.

   Out to 425 South to assist Monticello Police Department with traffic stop.

Nov. 23  

   Stop and talk with alumni looking around campus.  Showed them a couple of buildings.

   Out at 10-81 to talk with student - take T.O.P. report (see incident report).

Nov. 26

   In the office working on an incident report that would not submit to the FBI.  Working with relativity was able to get the report submitted.

   Out with a vehicle in the ditch on University Drive. 

   Report of a fire alarm activated at the University Center; someone burned their popcorn.  Alarm reset to normal.

   Report of a fire alarm at the Fine Arts Center.  The heating unit got so hot that it caused a temperature sensor to set off the alarm.  On-duty maintenance was there also.  When the fire alarm was acknowledged, the unit still was showing a fire.  Found the thermostat to the unit; turned it to a lower temperature and opened all of the overhead doors to cool it off in the area, at which time the alarm reset correctly.  System had returned to normal.

   Out at Fieldhouse after game to help secure area and escort visiting team to busses.  Out at Fieldhouse again to have UAM students leave the area - a group of male and female students standing in front of the Fieldhouse making noise.  All complied and left the area.

   Traffic stop with six male students pushing one male student down on the sidewalk in a UAM wheelbarrow.  I checked identification cards and asked where they got the wheelbarrow.  They told me that it came from behind Horsfall Hall under the stairs.  I made them put it back.

Nov. 27

  Report of a fire alarm activated at Harris Hall.  Custodial employee reset the system by the time we arrived.

   Report of a fire alarm activated at Horsfall Hall.  Found a trouble alarm and was the detector above the second-floor stairwell.  Did not reset the alarm, and maintenance was advised.

   Requested that we check for smokers within the no smoking parameter.  Made contact with two students and reminded them of the distance from the building no smoking rule.

   Vehicle unlock at Willard Hall.

   Fire alarm activated at the University B Apartments.  Was a trouble alarm near the rear bedroom, detector malfunction.  Looked in the room and verified the fault.  Advised maintenance.

   Out to the John F. Gibson University Center to talk with student and to check on basketball games going on in the gym.

   Out at Maxwell for a walk around.  Some vehicle traffic around dorms with no traffic stops.

  

Nov. 28

   10-9 for room search.

   Monitor traffic on campus.  Run radar and make traffic stops.  Patrol campus and issue citations.

   Out at Bankston Hall to talk with student about a case.  No contact.

   Received a call about people making noise around Royer.  Out with two female students and three male non-students.  Checked I.D.s and advised subjects to keep it down.

   Received a call from Monticello P.D. about a professor at Tina's Apartments having trouble.  Assist ambulance with getting subject.

   Issued UAM citation to vehicle behind Bankston Hall for no visible ARLP.

   Traffic stop by Agriculture building for failure to stop at four-way.  Verbal warning issued.

   Received call from Monticello P.D. to be on the look out for a white Honda Civic with no Arkansas driver's license driven by a young white male.  Officer advised he was wanting to talk to suspect and if spotted, radio back and advise the officer.  Confirmed with the officer the make and model of suspected vehicle and began searching parking lots around campus.

Nov. 29

   Check all of the parking lots around campus.  Go monitor traffic on campus.

   Out with another officer on traffic stop.  Subject 10-53 - 10-19 to Monticello P.D. with 10-15. 

   Out to talk with students in front of Royer.

   Issued two UAM citations at Horsfall Hall.

   Traffic stop with AR 957 IOM for failure to stop at a four-way by the Agriculture building.  Upon return of information, suspect had an active warrant from Beebe.  Advised other officer about the situation.  Monticello P.D. radioed back that I need to 21 Monticello P.D.   After the 21, the other officer escorted suspect to Monticello P.D. to rectify the situation.

Nov. 30

   Called to Maxwell to assist a student with a car boost on his dead battery.

Dec. 4

   Out to assist Drew Central staff with run-away student.

   Out at Horsfall Hall dealing with parking.

   Out to the U.C. for ambulance call for student.

   Check all the parking lots on the campus.  Monitor traffic.  Out to assist with traffic for Gov. Beebe.

   Make traffic stop, issue warning.  Monitor traffic.  Out with some students at Jeter Hall.

Dec. 5

   Traffic stop with UAM student for speeding on Scogin.  37 in 20.  Issued a UAM citation.  Traffic stop with another UAM student on Scogin for speeding.  35 in 20.  Issued UAM citation for the same.  Traffic stop with another UAM student for speeding on Scogin.  36 in 20.  Issued UAM citation for the same.

   In the office to issue parking permits and decals.  Boost at the Band building.  In the office to hear citation appeals.  Vehicle unlock at the baseball field parking lot.  Vehicle unlock in front of Willard Hall.

   Fire alarm at University B Apartments.  Went to the dorm and found rear bedroom had set alarm off.  Students cooking chicken and smoked up the apartments.  All students evacuated dorm except the occupants of this room.  I told them to go outside.  There was no audible alarm going off in the room, and they said they did not know the alarm had been set.  Maintenance needs to check the head in this dorm room.  Silenced alarm and allowed students back inside.
