Nov. 14 Check all of the parking lots around the campus. Monitor traffic on campus. Issue citations around the campus. Put a boot on vehicle at Jeter parking lot. Out to talk with students with alcohol in vehicles. Out to serve papers at the Babin Business Center, no contact. Go unlock two vehicles at the Memorial Classroom Building. Patrol campus and stay visible. Monitor traffic on campus. Out to watch radar as weather is getting bad. Nov. 15 Out to the John F. Gibson University Center to prevent possible problem; all 10-4. Out to work part at the University Center checking student identification cards and turned away approximately 30 people for no ID. In office to issue decals. Check all of the parking lots around the campus. Monitor traffic on campus. Out issuing citations around the campus. Go boost off vehicle at the MCB and go unlock vehicle at the MCB. Monitor four-ways and issues citations. Go to the BBC for parking lot accident report. Out at court clerk's office to get a copy of order and to check on the statutes for order of protections. Check out the statutes for different charges. Check on audit of training hours. Out at office to work an accident report. Nov. 16 Traffic stop with UAM student for speeding on University Drive (34 in a 20). Issued UAM citation for the same. Call from Admissions about a subject that called Admissions and needed to talk with an officer. Out at Bankston Hall to open a storage room door where a cat could be heard. A cat was in fact inside the storage closet. The kitten was OK. A call from the Monticello Police Department dispatch of a loud party in D-21 Family Housing and also that an attempt by the complaint to call Public Safety was unsuccessful. Made contact with the resident and asked them to keep it down. Went back the Public Safety office to check the phones; all the phones in the office were dead, could not call 460-1000 from another phone and get the on-duty officer cell phone. Monticello P.D. also said they had the same problem when they tried to call the cell through the campus telephone exchange. Called maintenance and advised them of the situation. The on-duty person called the cell direct and advised the technician would be out in 30 minutes to check on the phone system. A call from the Monticello P.D. of another complaint of noise from D-21 beginning just as I left the area. Went back to the room and collected the ID of the resident and advised that they will be written up for noise. No further problems reported. Nov. 17 All phones working at this time. Maintenance reset the phones. Call from Monticello P.D. needing assistance with a situation in town with a UAM student. I found some student willing to help at the BSU. Called the resident graduate assistant and advised her of the situation. Call from student at the University A Apartments. Her bathroom door would not open. It seems locked. I called duty maintenance, and he told me he would go look at it. Conducted a traffic stop; a male student ran the stop sign at Royer Hall. Conducted a traffic stop; a female student ran the stop sign at Royer Hall.
Nov. 18 Call from the Maxwell Hall on-duty resident assistant advising that there was a resident of the dorm that was being bothered by four other female students at her room. I told the RA that she needed to turn in the information tomorrow to the graduate assistant and I would continue to patrol the area. No further problems reported. Out with a small group in front of Royer Hall, reminded them of the no loitering rule. Nov. 19 Traffic stop of a student for speeding. Another campus traffic stop for speeding. In the office to issue decals. Check all of the parking lots around the campus. Monitor four-ways. Patrol the campus. Unlock vehicle at the MCB. Go unlock another vehicle at the MCB. Issue citation on campus. Go unlock vehicle at the Science Center. Out at the Fred J. Taylor Library and Technology Center to check on noise; no one in the building. Asked the worker at Java City, who stated she had not heard any loud noise. Monitor traffic and issue citations. Unlock at the University Apartments. Unlock at Bankston Hall. Nov. 20 Patrol the campus, check parking lots and issue decals. Go boost off vehicle in front of maintenance. Go unlock a vehicle at the Science Center. Go to boost off another vehicle at the Science Center. Went to Cingular office to get cell phone looked at. No one able to work on phone call. Later, go to pick up other cell phone and swap SIM cards. Monitor traffic on campus. Answer a
couple of phone calls. Out with a couple of students. Out to unlock
