AETN Tickets to “Anúna: Celtic Origins” Friday, Nov. 16 at Trinity Cathedral in Little Rock are now available exclusively through the Arkansas Educational Television Network Foundation. Anúna, the original vocal group in Riverdance, bridged the gap between classical and popular music with its pure, haunting, emotional and mystical sound. In order to recreate the concert experience as seen in the televised program, including the candlelit performances and singing in the midst of the audience, the concert will now take place at Trinity Cathedral. “Celtic Origins” spans more than 1,000 years of music history as 16 Anúna singers perform an ethereal blend of Irish, British, Middle English, Scots Gaelic, Medieval Irish, Latin and Greek choral music. Often credited with being the first and original creators of the entire Celtic Soprano genre, they have performed and recorded with an illustrious list of international musical performers including: Sting, Barry Manilow, Elvis Costello, Michael Crawford, The Chieftains, Ashley MacIsaac and Sinead O’Connor. The AETN Foundation is the only outlet for these tickets. General admission tickets are available for $40. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis. For more information or to reserve tickets, visit the AETN Web site or call 1-800-662-2386. All proceeds will help support public television programming in Arkansas. The Arkansas Educational Television Network, http://www.aetn.org, provides lifelong learning opportunities, improves and enhances Arkansans’ lives and celebrates the unique culture of Arkansas through its programming and services. AETN’s analog and digital transmitters and numerous cable system connections give it statewide reach. ![]() Have a comment? Please e-mail us.
