Courtesy of Media Services The Student Nurse Association of the University of Arkansas at Monticello won first place in the Community Health Award competition at the annual Arkansas Nursing Students’ Association meeting Oct. 11-13 in Hot Springs. The award was presented for a project that raised $1,000 for Kids First of Warren, a pediatric day health program associated with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and operated at 11 clinics in Arkansas. “I want to congratulate our students and their faculty advisor, Mrs. Pam Gouner, for their work on this worthwhile project,” said Dr. Larry Eustace, chair of the UAM Division of Nursing. “The Division of Nursing faculty is very proud of the community involvement of our students and the award they earned from the Arkansas Nursing Students’ Association.” Have a comment?
