Staff Writer The University of Arkansas - Monticello's online bookstore makes waiting in line to buy textbooks obsolete. Every semester students dread waiting in line for what seems like hours to buy textbooks. Ordering textbooks through the UAM online bookstore eliminates waiting in line. Students may not realize UAM has a bookstore online. To access it go to the UAM home page, click on the current or future student link, and find it in the quick links section. It works like any other online store. The order form narrows down the search by selecting department, course number and section number, which helps eliminate the hassle of buying the wrong book for the course. The online book store also offers used books; so, ordering early can save students money. The campus bookstore runs the online store; so, all the money goes back into the college unlike other online textbooks stores. When a student buys online, they have two options for delivery: the student can pay shipping and handling fees to have the store ship the merchandise to their house, or the student can pick up the merchandise at the bookstore for no additional charge. Books for the spring semester will be available to order online starting in early December. Also, the online bookstore sells all UAM apparel. Alumni from across the nation buy their Boll Weevil merchandise online. From license plates to coffee, hats to the ever-popular "There Ain't Nothing More Evil than a Damn Boll Weevil" shirt, the UAM online bookstore has it. 
The online bookstore only accepts credit or debit cards, but
another option may be made available in the future. Students interested
in a student charge option need to contact Billy Hogue at the campus
bookstore; with enough interest it could
