Well sports fans, it was a sad week for the University of Arkansas Monticello Boll Weevils as the Henderson State University Reddies came to campus to play a football game. As turnovers and poor officiating ruled most of the contest, the Weevils fell to the Reddies.  

   While the game was not up to par, there was one aspect of Thursday night’s contest, and that was the fan support. There were thousands of people there to support the Weevils as they took on the Reddies who are ranked No. 1 in the Gulf South Conference. 

   Whether it was fraternity men, sorority women, band members, cheerleaders, moms or dads, the fans were out in full force. Everyone at the university appreciates this outstanding support from students and alumni. 

   Every fan in Boll Weevil country is encouraged to travel to Braly Stadium on the campus of the University of North Alabama as the Boll Weevils face the No. 3 team in the nation Oct. 14. Every bit of support is needed and appreciated.
