The University of Arkansas at Monticello Boll Weevils golf team turned in a ninth-place finish in their first tournament of the 2006-07 year, finishing ninth at the Bison Fall Golf Classic hosted by Harding University at the Red Apple Inn Country Club.

   Chris Halley led the Boll Weevils tied for an 11th-place finish behind rounds of 78 and 73 to finish the tournament with a score of 151 (+9), 11 strokes behind overall winner Buddy Wilkins of Arkansas-Fort Smith.

   The Boll Weevils will return to the course Oct. 4, as they travel to Cleveland, Miss., to play in the Derrall Foreman Classic hosted by Delta State University at the Cleveland Country Club.
