Intramurals University Pool - The indoor swimming pool is used for a variety of classes and Open Swim. Contact the school of Education (460-1062) for information on classes in swimming, scuba diving and aquatonics. Open Swim is a time designated for eligible users to swim laps or recreate in the pool. A current UAM ID card must be presented to enter facility. The U.N.I.T.Y choir rehearses Mondays at 7:30 p.m. in the Music building, Room 133. UNITY is open to all students. Annual Battle of the Bands/Voices -
On Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts
Center, the Pi Kappa Delta/ Debate Society will host its 4th
Annual Battle of the Bands/Voices. The competition will feature
bands and singers from throughout the region. Admission is $3 with a
valid UAM ID and $4
without one. If you have a band or you’re a singer and would be

competition will be featured on Rock 102.7 Crossett/Monroe. So

Visit Ireland! - The Criminal Justice and Political Science Field Study will travel to Ireland in mid-May, between the Spring and Summer I semesters. For a cost of $1,500, participants will receive three upper-division political science or criminal justice credits, which can be also be used for general education social science elective. Expected destinations include the city of Dublin, the West Coast, ancient castles and tours of Celtic culture, art and music. NASA Means Business Student Competition 2007 - This year's topic employs NASA 's space exploration mission in the promotion of science, technology, engineering and math education among middle and high school students.
