   Celebrating Constitution Day

   On Sept. 17, 1787, 39 delegates of the Constitutional Convention formally signed the Constitution, after months of work on the document. The nation now celebrates Sept. 17 as Constitution Day.

Five Quick and Easy Ways to Learn more about the Constitution:

5. Visit the National Archives and Records Administration Web site for the Charters of Freedom at:

4. Visit the Constitution Center and search for words and phrases in the document at: http://www.constitutioncenter.org/constitution/

3. Visit the Federal Resources for Education Excellence Constitution page at:

2. Visit the library and view the “Celebrating Constitution Day Display”

1. Visit the library, pick up a pocket size Constitution, and read more about it.

    Visit the Main Library Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday from 1-4 p.m. and Sunday from 2-10 p.m. Visit Special collections Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visit the Web site (http://www.uamont.edu/library/) at any time.
