Contributing Writer Arkansas celebrates adult education week Sept. 24-30 and GED Pride Day on Wednesday, Sept. 27. The UAM College of Technology at McGehee invites everyone to visit the Adult Education Program on Wednesday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Adult Education class allows you to progress at your own pace. You can take as much time as needed to complete the course. You will study writing, reading, social studies, science and mathematics needed to pass the GED examination. You will get plenty of personal attention from people who want you to succeed. You will also learn some general skills such as how to study, computer skills, reasoning and problem solving skills. There is no cost for enrolling. The State of Arkansas pays for your study because it is very important that you get your GED. So, call us, today! The Adult Education department will assist you in getting your career off to a great start. Class Schedules: UAM College of Technology - McGehee Through day and/or evening classes, you will be able to study for the GED examination when it is most convenient for you. Upon successful completion of the GED exam, the State Board of Workforce Education will award you with an Arkansas High School Diploma. And, you will be able to participate in our end of the year graduation ceremony.
