Spencer Gallery Hosts Senior Art Exhibition

   The University of Arkansas – Monticello Fine Arts Center’s Spencer Gallery hosted an assortment of Impressionistic oil paintings by senior Jill Moore during a reception April 10. 

   Moore’s numerous paintings utilized either the subject of faces or flowers, prominently visualizing the artist’s brush strokes. 

   “Jill possesses an interesting use of paint and coloring,” said Martha Rico, fellow art student. “Her blending techniques are excellent.” 

   Moore’s series of five daffodils along with her various individual portraits of family members will remain on display in the Spencer Gallery until Monday, April 16.

   The next Spencer Gallery art exhibit, “The Main Event … Martha Rico vs. Hannah Williamson,” will take place April 27 at 5 p.m. Artwork can be seen on display from April 16 - May 11 at the UAM Fine Arts Center.
