Staff Writer The University of Arkansas at Monticello’s School of Education welcomed back a former teacher in 2006. Assistant Professor of Education Marilyn Carpenter graduated UAM with a degree in elementary and secondary education. She received her master’s of education from the University of Arkansas, as well as her education doctorate. She previously worked for UAM as an instructor
from 2001-2002. She married David Carpenter of Hamburg and they have one
son, Marcus Carpenter of Little Rock.
