'When Giants Must Fall'

Publish America is proud to present "When Giants Must Fall," by Joseph Anthony Koerber of Pasadena, Maryland. Koerber's novel is the story of two fictitious giants in their respective status and locality. Their paths cross by a quirk of fate in a courtroom and later in a conflict ion of interest at the Thomas mansion

Roger Thomas, one prominent giant, inherited his father's fortune and the entire valley of Thomasville, located in upstate New York. The old tyrant divided the land into two parts, using the railroad tracks as the dividing line. One side is for his expansive mansion, shared with the beautiful and rebellious daughter. In love with Captain Paul Boyer since childhood, she opposes her father in every aspect of their relationship at the cold and loveless mansion. The other side of the tracks was allotted to the settlers to farm or work at his coal mine.

After Captain Boyer and a detail of seven marines bring home the deceased son of Roger Thomas for burial, on the day of the funeral there is an altercation and death at the cemetery. This brings the other giant, Colonel John Raymond Thatcher, into the picture to represent the Captain, accused of murdering Reds Kelly at the graveside, at his trial.
