The University of Arkansas - Monticello College of Technology at McGehee hosted its annual College of Technology Day Friday, March 2.   

   The theme for the 28^th year of competition for seniors from area schools was “Write Your Own Script for the Future.”  The starring attractions included competitions in the following areas: Communications, Automotive Technology, Welding Technology, Agriculture Technology, Keyboarding Applications/Word Processing, Business Math, Payroll Accounting, Early Childhood Education, Electronic Spreadsheet/Excel and Health Occupations.   

   The Oscar winners of each category received a full-tuition scholarship to UAM College of Technology-McGehee. Schools that participated were McGehee High School, Dermott High School, SEACBEC in Warren, Monticello Occupational Education Center (OEC), Drew Central and Lakeside High School in Lake Village.
