Woman's Duck Hunt - (from left) Sally Black, Syndey Shelby and Shelby Free recently participated in a girls' duck hunt at the Five Oaks Duck Lodge near Stuttgart.

The Arkansas Educational Television Network followed three young women during a duck hunt in a March 20 episode of “Arkansas Outdoors.”

The women's world champion duck caller Shelby Free of Stuttgart and her father Bill, Sydney Shelby of Monticello and Sally Black of Lake Village and her father Freddie hunted at Five Oaks Duck Lodge between Stuttgart and DeWitt.

A winter birding outing with Dan Scheiman of Audubon Arkansas and Kirsten Bartlow with the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission also appeared on the show. This month’s recipes include Topsey-Turvey Pizza, prepared by Phyllis Speer of the AGFC.

AETN (www.aetn.org) provides lifelong learning opportunities, improves and enhances Arkansans’ lives and celebrates the unique culture of Arkansas through its programming. AETN’s analog and digital transmitters and numerous cable system connections give it statewide reach.
