Linna Jones Staff Writer Students, organizations, staff and individuals donated necessary items and money to the Dumas Disaster Relief Drive held in the Student Programming and Activities office March 1 - 2. Senior Seth Glaze of the Kappa Alpha Order and Senior Dona Mclain of Sigma Sigma Sigma developed the idea and collected donations in the Student Programming and Activities office. The drive received donations from the following groups and individuals: Alpha Sigma Tau, Ambassadors, Computer Information Systems Club, Kappa Alpha Order, Phi Beta Sigma, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Star City Women’s League, Ginger Becker, Lance Douglas, LaReina Grundy, Mary Heady, Ben and Esbeida Higginbotham, Vincent Jackson, Josh and Janelle Martin, Gay Pace, Jennifer Schuler, John Stephens and Lynn Taylor. “This is a great opportunity to help our neighbors and our fellow communities,” Glaze said. The items requested for the drive included:
non-perishable or easy to open food, school supplies, personal hygiene
products, diapers, towels, baby food and
formula, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, manual can openers, ice chests
and coolers, leather gloves and
flashlights and batteries.
