On Broadway 

After tackling the task of being a multi-platinum recording artist, Fantasia Barrino is looking to conquer Broadway. Though it has yet to be confirmed, Barrino is said to be joining the musical, “The Color Purple.” Barrino will portray the role of Celie. 

A Slave No More 

Chris Cornell, lead singer of the band Audioslave, has opted to leave the band due to inward fighting. Audioslave formed in 2001, when Cornell and former Rage Against the Machine members, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk teamed up to form the super group.

The band’s first release, the self-titled "Audioslave,” went triple platinum, only to have the next two releases bomb. 

Is this Country Ready? 

Barrack Obama announced Feb. 10 that he would run for president in 2008. Obama is the first African American to have a legitimate chance of winning the presidency.
