Tony Dungy became the first black head coach in the National Football League to win a Super Bowl. A Man of His Word Scott Wiese, a Chicago Bears fan, made a bet with friends that if the Bears lost the Super Bowl, he would legally change his name to Peyton Manning. Nicole Smith died after collapsing in her hotel
room Feb. 8. Smith was found unconscious in
her hotel room and was immediately rushed to the
hospital. Upon arrival, Smith was pronounced dead. Though cause has yet to
be determined, it is speculated that Smith died from
an apparent overdose. Last year, Smith was
preceded in death by her son, who died from an
overdose of methadone. Smith is survived by her five-month-old daughter, Dannielynn Hope.
